Gemini Notebook isn't the only place. In any app with a text field — ChatGPT and Claude included — you can pick and insert curated prompts for slide layouts, cinematic videos, and chat the same way, and undo the insertion right after.

Save your own prompts on the web

Save your own prompts in My Library on the web. Web Library is available now. Syncing saved prompts to the Android keyboard for insertion is in preparation.

Prompts live on your device

Bundled prompts are shown from local storage, so you can pick them offline. Recents and favorites stay on your device, and your usage history is never uploaded.

Supported locales

App UI supports Japanese, English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan): ja / en / ko / zh-TW. Some catalog prompts fall back to Japanese.

How to get started

Compatible with Android 8.0 and later.

Using the BananaNL extension on your PC? Banana Keyboard is a separate product, and prompts saved in the extension's Library don't carry over. The same 330 curated prompts ship with the app, so it's useful right after install.

Set up the keyboard

  1. No. 01Enable the keyboardEnable BKeyboard in the system keyboard list, then return here. Note: Android displays a standard system warning about personal data collection for all keyboards, but BKeyboard has zero text-reading or network-transmission capabilities (Insert-only).
  2. No. 02Set up the keyboardSelect BKeyboard from the input-method list. Showing the keyboard button makes switching later easier.
  3. No. 03Try an insertionOpen ChatGPT, a notes app, or any text field, switch to BKeyboard, and tap any prompt card to insert it directly.
  4. No. 04Undo inserted promptTap Undo insert shown in the BKeyboard keyboard to undo only the prompt BKeyboard just inserted.
  5. No. 05Return to your keyboardTap the keyboard switch icon in the upper-right corner of the BKeyboard keyboard to return to your usual text keyboard.

Everyday use

Banana Keyboard is designed to be switched back and forth with your usual text keyboard.

    Switch to BKeyboard

    Open an input field in ChatGPT or another app, then choose "BKeyboard" from the keyboard switch button (at the bottom of the screen or by long-pressing space). If you cannot find it, open the BKeyboard app, tap "Select BKeyboard", and return to your target input field.

    Insert a prompt

    Tap the prompt card you want to use. The prompt is inserted directly into the input field.

    Return to text keyboard

    Tap the keyboard switch icon in the upper-right corner of BKeyboard (or the system switch button) to return to your usual text keyboard.
